Finally,
brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is
excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
This verse was the verse of the day at
Biblegateway.com. I decided it was
fitting for today and everyday for that matter.
Most of us have had to endure changes at some point in our lives. When changes come, as they often do, in our
workplace, churches, and in our country as a whole, negativism bares its ugly
head. This verse encourages me to not focus on the
negativism but to focus on what is right, pure, lovely, admirable, and
excellent. In the media as well as
social media we are hearing a lot of negativism. Let’s not breed off of that but rather, let’s
be the ones that bring light in this world of darkness, let’s bring peace to
the troubled world, in other words, let’s bring Jesus to the forefront of all
that we do and say. Let’s be the ones
who seek Him and focus on His pureness, righteousness, holiness, and loveliness.
