Psalm 93
English Standard Version (ESV)
93 (A)The Lord reigns;
he is (B)robed in majesty;
the Lord is (C)robed; he has (D)put on strength as his belt.
(E)Yes, the world is established; (F)it shall never be moved.
2 (G)Your throne is established from of old;
(H)you are from everlasting.
the Lord is (C)robed; he has (D)put on strength as his belt.
(E)Yes, the world is established; (F)it shall never be moved.
2 (G)Your throne is established from of old;
(H)you are from everlasting.
3 (I)The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their roaring.
4 Mightier than the thunders of many waters,
mightier than the waves of the sea,
(J)the Lord (K)on high is mighty!
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their roaring.
4 Mightier than the thunders of many waters,
mightier than the waves of the sea,
(J)the Lord (K)on high is mighty!
Way too often I believe that
we forget who we are talking to when we pray.
I for one can catch myself trying to tell God how to do things. Yet, when I am around people with authority
here on earth, I can become nervous and uneasy.
That is how we should be when we go to the throne of grace. Rather we are bold in declaring the desires
of our heart. We tend to look at our
Savior Jesus as our friend, which He is, but He is much more than that. Jesus is our High Priest, He suffered and
died so that we might have life! He is
our mediator to God because we frankly are not capable of going to that throne
without Him.
As we seek Him may we
realize He is the Great Almighty GOD, the creator of this universe, the ONE who
sits on the throne. Let us not take for
granted what we have but be grateful for HIM, trust HIM, obey Him, and love HIM
more. Be fearful and humble as you go to
THE THRONE today.
Seeking Him with all my
heart,
Sheila
