A popular song in our community
is, “He Never Failed Me Yet”. It is a
catching tune and one that speaks of how God has pulled many out of their dire straits. The only problem I have ever had with the
song is that three letter word, “yet”.
He has never failed me and He never will. “Yet” implies that it will happen or at least
that it could. This Psalm speaks of God’s everlasting love for His people and how
it will stand the test of time, it is forever!
Even though we know that He loves
us we get caught up in the ways of this world.
We begin to put our trust in other people who will let us down. Or we begin to concern ourselves with our
politicians. We begin to think that the
king or president is more powerful than our God. Oh, we say we trust the Lord but we grumble
and complain about our leaders rather than putting our trust in God and praying
for them. We cannot trust those around
us. Friends will stab us in the back and
our leaders will make decisions that make no sense, but God’s loves will always
be there. The question is, “Will you
reach out and accept it?” Seek Him and
know that His love endures forever!
Seeking Him with all my heart,
Sheila
